METRO STRAIGHTENING'S START

We are a continuation of a Family owned business started in 1961. Jim Laurell, Sr started a small straightening shop in Detroit, MI in 1961. He later moved his shop to Dearborn. As his sons became of age, he hired them on and began to train the next generation of family straighteners. Jim, Sr. retired in 1986. Three sons took over the business until 1989, then Jim, Jr. became sole owner of Metro Straightening Service, Inc. Jim hired his brother Ray in 1989 and later hired Ray's son Jeremy in 1999. After 31 years of ownership, Jim decided to retire at the end of 2020. Now Jeremy & Ray are continuing the tradition of quality straightening, as Metro Straightening, LLC.
